Abstract
A photonic integrated circuit (PIC) to operate as a microwave waveform generator for linearly chirped microwave waveform (LCMW) generation is proposed. An LCMW with a temporal duration of 10 ps and a bandwidth of 12 GHz corresponding to a time-bandwidth product of 1.2×10 <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">5</sup> is generated.
