Abstract

The stress field in the vicinity of a pair of Griffith cracks located at the interface of two bonded dissimilar elastic half planes is determined. Fourier transforms are employed in order to reduce the problem to that of solving a simultaneous set of triple integral equations containing a trigonometric kernel. The equivalence between this problem and that of a Riemann boundary value problem with closed form solution is demonstrated. A thorough discussion of the case of constant internal pressure is included.
