Abstract

This paper proposed a novel magnetic resonance coupling system, which contains a 3D Energy concentrated rectangular (ECR) transmitter coil and a implantable coil is ECR - RWPT system. To evaluate the performance, a WPT system with external and implant coils of the same rectangular structure is designed for comparison, called the R-RWPT system. Besides, an enhancement scheme of trunk coil is proposed to increase the power transfer efficiency (PTE) with the proposed stable transfer range. The impacts of lateral and angular misalignments on the overall PTE of the systems are analyzed and compared. In the range over a center area of 20mm, and an offset angle of 20°, which is regarded as stable transmission range, the PTE is higher than 20%. Besides, the transfer loss of three system in brain tissue is considered and compared, the PTE of ECR-R-R, ECR-R, R-R WPT system can reach 27.3%, 20.5%, 14.3% at the transmission distance of 10mm separately.
