Abstract

To mitigate the effects of the non-uniform RF power distribution, a novel power combining strategy for rectenna array in Microwave power transfer (MPT) system is proposed in this paper. With the benefit of the proposed strategy, the optimal connection pattern of rectenna array can be found under the non-uniform RF power distribution condition, which a few woks have been focused on. As a result, a power loss reduction can be achieved in rectenna array. Moreover, a 5.8GHz MPT system is built to verify the power combining strategy.
