Abstract

This paper addresses the modeling and identification of a fractional-order discrete-time SISO Laguerre-wiener system with a pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) input. PRBS input is used instead of white noise because of its advantages compared to the white noise including its easy production and implementation in practice. By using linear dynamic modeling and orthonormal basis functions (OBF), linear and nonlinear subsystems will be separated; therefore, the disastrous bilinearity problem will be eliminated. Finally, the simulation results show the promising performance of the proposed approach.
