Abstract

A novel dual-layer highly efficient and wideband transmitarray antenna (TA) is proposed. First, a novel wideband TA unit cell with simple structure is presented. The simulated results of element show an adequate phase variation range over 360°. Then, a 15x15-element TA is designed and simulated by ANYSY HFSS. The final simulated results show that the presented antenna can obtain 11.8% 1 dB gain bandwidth (20.7- 23.3 GHz) and 50.5% aperture efficiency. Its peak gain is 26.9 dBi at 22 GHz.
