Abstract

The life history of Anatrachyntis terminella (Walker) is described for the first time. Larvae of this moth infest the egg-sacs of the spider Nephila edulis (Koch), feed on the eggs and pupate in the silk of the egg-sac. The life history of the moth is discussed in relation to its effect on the spider.
