In this paper, a counterexample of the above-mentioned paper by Trofino-Neto et al. (ibid. vol.38 (1993)) is reported. It is pointed out that one of the conditions for a linear system to be stabilizable via static output feedback is not correct. A modified necessary and sufficient condition for this problem is also presented.
