Abstract
A method of determining direct normal insolation by using two fixed pyranometers was developed and tested. Experimental data for two different configurations are presented. The results are such that the method presented could reasonably be substituted for the standard tracking pyrheliometer in situations in which the use of such a pyrheliometer is not practicable.
