Abstract
Because of the extremely adverse climate environment and construction conditions, the previous buildings in each South Pole Station in west Antarctica area turned up a series of foundational morbidities. I had been to Antarctica as a member of the 21st Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition Team in 2004, in charge of a program about building suitability. This paper recommended the geological conditions, the subterraneous temperature field and the emerged foundational morbidity in West Antarctica Peninsula Area, eventually expounded a new foundation measure.
