Abstract

The fines constitute the product, and are entrained, with the spent energy vehicle, in an eddy dust precipitator 13 and are then discharged via an airtight sluice type unloading device 18 into a package of some transporting device. The spent energy vehicle is suctioned through a fabric bag type dust trap 16 for final cleaning, and is vented to the atmosphere by means of a fan 17. The reduction ratio of the material is controlled by selecting an appropriate shaft rpm for the rotor of the dust separator 4. The driving electric motor 15 and the rotor of the dust separator are equipped with a V-belt cone drive for rpm control 14. The granular composition of the ground product is controlled by setting the lengths of the acceleration tubes 8 and the spacing between their cutoffs in the grinding chamber 9. By imparting a specific velocity to the particles, we can control the impact energy, and with this the granular composition of the resulting product. Setting longer distances between exit section of acceleration tubes makes it possible to limit production of undersize which would rapidly lose speed on emerging from the acceleration tube. The optimum length assigned to acceleration
