Abstract
Abstract A new Ceuthomantis is described from the Sarisarinama tepui in southeastern Venezuela. The new species was collected in 2002 and reported previously as Pristimantis cf. cavernibardus. Herein important differences are highlighted as diagnostic for the new species, fitting the recently described family Ceuthomantidae from the Guianan Shield. The biogeography of the genus and family is discussed.
