Abstract
The design of a Gerdien mobility spectrometer using a full intake and divided collector is discussed. A new method for computing mobility spectra from the ion currents collected by each collector section is proposed. Some spectra obtained with the spectrometer are presented, which demonstrate that the spectrum parameters can change significantly over intervals of the order of 100 s.
