Abstract

A radically new approach to a description of processes observed under very severe plastic deformations is considered based on the assumption about five possible channels of elastic energy dissipation arising in a solid body under external loading. Cyclicity of deformation processes is established. The possibility of low-temperature dynamic recrystallization and crystal-amorphous state phase transitions depending on the temperature and height of the Peierls barrier is demonstrated.
