Abstract

Sharps injuries are a common occupational risk to surgeons during skin surgery, especially when the surgeon uses small sewing needles or syringe needles in cosmetic surgery. Cai and Peng1 reported a simple method for fixing surgical sharps, which was a gauze ball placed in one fingertip of a sterile glove that is clamped with forceps.1 This fixator system wastes the remainder of the sterile surgical glove and decreases the number of vascular clamps available for use during surgery.
