Abstract
Here we present a method for calculating the scaling function for the S=∞ (classical) Heisenberg model directly from high‐temperature expansions. Previously the scaling function has been calculated only for the S=1/2 Ising model, but the method is not generalizable to the case of the Heisenberg model because it relies upon the use of low‐temperature expansions as well, and these are not known for the Heisenberg model. We have also applied our method to the Ising model and the S=1/2 Heisenberg model, but for simplicity it is convenient to focus here upon the single model, the classical Heisenberg model. We have compared our calculated scaling function with measurements on the insulating and metallic ferromagnets EuO and Ni and found rather good agreement.
