Abstract

Presents a method focused on finding a pair of conjugate trees in the circuit topology. The existence of such a pair is one of the conditions for a nonlinear resistive circuit to have one and only one DC solution. The method resorts to matrix manipulations and it is based on the RE algorithm (reduction to an echelon matrix). The method can handle circuits containing V-resistors, I-resistors, independent current and voltage sources, nullators and norators.
