Abstract

A New method of fusion is presented to find each object present in the image. The proposed algorithm used USAN (univalue segment assimilating nucleus) technique to fuse the high and low intensity edges. The effective way of multi focus fusion is based on the fuzzy edge detection using modified fuzzy membership function. However, the proposed method computes the edge intensity region in an optimal way by using particle swarm optimization (PSO). We conduct experiments on several images and compare with different state of art methods. The effectiveness of the proposed approach outperforms than other methods in each case of performance measures.
