Abstract

The effectiveness of scaling up photocatalysis is constrained by the agglomeration of photocatalysts. A floatable hydrogel-based photocatalytic system at the air-water interface reported by Hyeon et al. in the current issue of Nature Nanotechnology offers benefits for scaling up solar H2 production with effective light delivery and fast gas separation.
