Abstract

The present text aims to make some notes about the history of teacher training in Francisco Beltrao – PR. It has a focus on training in normal schools, especially the training promoted by the School Normal Collegial State Regina Mundi, since its installation in 1965, at the Nossa Senhora da Gloria Institute, until its incorporation to the High School Roberto Antonio Croda, in 1976. The study is justified by the fact that the Regina Mundi Normal School was the First School of training for primary teachers installed in the City. In order to reach the objective, we use bibliographical and documentary sources, as well as oral sources. The articulation between the sources allowed to make approachs with social, historical and cultural questions and to understand the importance of the Normal School in the process of schooling in Francisco Beltrao in the decades of 1960-1970.
