Abstract

This paper addresses the advances that have emerged from the legal documents that ensure the rights of people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). To that end, the aim of this paper is to analyze the changes that have occurred in the last ten years, which culminated in the approval of Law 12.764/12 (Berenice Piana Law). The methodology is of a qualitative nature, of documentary type, as it is a systematic review of the literature in the field of Education and Human Rights. The central aspects of this study focused on guaranteeing the rights of people with ASD in the field of education and health. During the performance of this study, it was observed in the literature that there are different approaches used to help the inclusion of individuals with ASD, however with the approval of Law 12,764/12, these individuals achieved a great victory, but there is still much to be done.
