Abstract

Abstract A Decade of Disaster is an annotated bibliography containing resources, in many formats, to assist librarians and archivists in preparing for emergency situations. This list is divided into helpful subtopics to make it easier to find what is needed. The areas covered are as follows: Audio and Visual Materials, Bibliographies, Biological Agents, Computers and Electronic Data, Earthquakes, Fire and Water Disasters, Personal Issues, Plans and Planning Manuals, Prevention, Resource Guides, and General Works. Following this in-depth bibliography is an additional list of resources, “In the heat of the Moment-turn to these Resources first,” to be perused first in the case of a disaster.
