Introduction

Prostate cancer (PC) is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among men and the second leading cause of male cancer deaths [1]. Prostate specific antigen (PSA) and prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) have been identified as the most promising biomarkers in diagnosis and treatment of PC [3, 4]. It has been well known that the NF-κB (p50/65) pathway plays a critical role in prostate cell development and progression of various human malignancies [9, 10]. We initially analysed the expression of PSA and PSMA according to RKIP and investigated the components of Ras/Raf-1/MEK/ERK, NF-κB (p50/p65), and Akt (T308/S473) pathways in conjunction with PSA and PSMA according to RKIP in human cancerous prostate with (PSA+, PSMA+) profile to assess the biological characters of this mostly immunoexpressed PC profile
