Abstract

A total of 142 full scale individual intelligence tests were rescored to compare the V and BD dyad of the WISC-R with the full scale WISC-R and the limen method of scoring of the S-B with the full scale S-B. Tests had been administered to students who had been referred for possible inclusion in a gifted program. The correlation of the limen short form and the full scale S-B was. 78 while the V and BD dyad and full scale WISC-R correlation was .92. Results suggest that the V and BD dyad of the WISC-R may be a useful screening device for superior students.
