Abstract

Some diagnostic problems and approaches to the management of patients with dissecting aortic aneurysm have been described based on this clinical case. In particular, the role of a thorough clinical examination, examination of the medical history, and the utility of routine diagnostic tests such as electrocardiography, chest X-ray, and aortic ultrasound were to be analyzed. The discussion also touched upon the process of selecting the best treatment strategy. Certain considerations included optimal blood pressure levels, heart rate, and the use of appropriate antihyper tensive, pulse-lowering drugs.
