Abstract
The specimens used in this study were collected from various parts of the state in representative ecological conditions (Table 1). Over 100 collections were made from roadside ditches, open prairie, parks, a natural history reservation, vacant lots, and various disturbed areas. Included were specimens from the dry western half of the state as well as the wetter eastern counties. Voucher specimens were deposited in the herbarium of Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia.
