Abstract
Ano vaginal fistula is a rare clinical entity with incidence <5%. It causes significant physical discomfort and psychological distress to patients as also in our case having complaints of passing flatus per vaginally and fecal staining in vagina. Repair is challenging in view of high recurrence rate. Repair from the anal side with a mucosal flap was done, this being the high-pressure side of the fistula. The ease of performance with less recurrence of this less commonly used approach is being reported.
