Abstract
This study conducted a retrospective analysis of a severe poisoning case caused by skin contact with monomethylamine, which was treated at the Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University in November 2021. The aim of the study was to summarize the clinical manifestations, examination results, and treatment process of this case. After exposure to monomethylamine, the patient exhibited early symptoms such as dry vomiting and muttering, followed by disturbance of consciousness and multiple system dysfunction. Through comprehensive treatment measures, the patient ultimately regained consciousness and was discharged smoothly. This study reported in detail a severe poisoning case caused by skin contact with monomethylamine, revealing the clinical characteristics and treatment strategies of monomethylamine poisoning, providing references and guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, this study also deeply explored the potential mechanisms and prevention strategies of monomethylamine poisoning, offering useful insights for public health education and chemical safety management.
