Abstract

A 19-year-old G0 was transferred from an outside medical facility with complaints of diffuse abdominal pain, intractable nausea and vomiting, and constipation with intermittent watery stools. She reported early satiety, and a weight gain of five pounds over a 3-week interval. The patient denied urinary symptoms, fever, or chills. Menarche occurred at age 13, with reports of regular cycles. Upon further questioning, she reported acne, excess hair growth, and secondary amenorrhea for 3 years. She was not sexually active. Her past medical history and family history was otherwise unremarkable.
