Abstract

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is a rare, low to intermediate grade malignant vascular tumor. A 62-year-old woman visited our hospital with abdominal discomfort for 3 months. Abdominal ultrasound showed two homogeneous hypoechoic nodules with well-defined margin. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound showed rim enhancement in arterial phase and early and marked washout in portal phase. We decided to perform liver biopsy for histological confirmation. The lesions were diagnosed as hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. She was successfully treated with radiofrequency ablation.
