Abstract
A 62-year-old man was admitted to the hospital with left lower abdominal discomfort which was diagnosed as sigmoid colon carcinoma by X-ray examination and fiberoptic study.Sigmoidectomy and regional lymphadenectomy were carried out. Postoperative microscopic examination revealed adenosquamous carcinoma of the colon.Primary adenosquamous or squamous carcinoma of the colon is very uncommon. The patient is still being followed, without evidence of recurrence.
