Abstract

A bowtie-slot microstrip patch antenna with an H-type radiation chip and U-type parasitic patches in Ka-band is proposed in this paper, which is based on Low-Temperature Cofired Ceramic (LTCC) technology. Compared with the traditional microstrip antenna (MA), the proposed antenna can greatly reducing size, expand bandwidth and increase the gain. According to full-wave electro-magnetic (EM) simulation, the antenna can obtain the impedance bandwidth of 28.6% (from 27 GHz to 36 GHz) and the gain of 8.09 dB at 34 GHz.
