Abstract

A bounding surface plasticity model considering different spacing ratios is proposed for overconsolidated jointed soft rocks. Specifically, a modified structural bounding surface considering the different spacing ratios is proposed by introducing a new stress ratio, and the different spacing ratios of jointed soft rocks are analyzed. A structural decay law and a hardening law are adopted to consider the influence of joint plane and structure of jointed soft rocks. The model is verified by comparing the prediction and test data on jointed samples with different joint angles and different confining pressures.
