Abstract

Single molecule tracking provides new insights into the fundamental rules governing complex biological regulations such as interaction of molecules in dense environments. Despite numerous technical advances in fluorescent labeling, non-fluorescent labeling, and single molecule tracking analysis, we still have not been able to directly observe trajectories nor interactions of multiple molecules in dense environments. Overcoming these limitations of existing methods to probe such biological processes is the goal of future developments.
