Abstract
A previous article ( Brendon and Reet 2000 ) outlined the key factors in establishing a mental health liaison nursing (MHLN) service in an outer London hospital. It included a detailed description of the operational guidelines for the team, the referral criteria and process and overall team functions. Highlighted in this article was the importance of audit in the consolidation and review of a service.
