Abstract
This chapter lists and discusses regulations and standards from the countries of the Southern African Development Community. Those regulations which apply specifically to buildings where food is handled or processed are included. There are general building regulations, environmental management regulations, hygiene regulations and food hygiene management standards. Documentation from the following countries in the region are specifically mentioned: South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Seychelles and Swaziland.
