Abstract

BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Inadvertent intravascular injections have been associated with serious morbidity and death in cervical and lumbar transforaminal epidural injections. Some have suggested that different needle types may reduce the risk of accidental vascular cannulation during these procedures.
