Abstract
The final chapter summarizes the previously introduced aspects of emerging product development and manufacturing of plastic medical devices by introducing the scenario of the current and might be future world of plastic medical devices and their product realization processes. Like the chapter title suggests, it is a forecast how the future medical device world may look alike in a general manner. The scenarios help to describe the perfect future plastic medical device. Aspects of crowdsourced innovation, perfect flow of information, Internet of things, and industry 4.0 are discussed and brought into relation with the current state and maybe future state. The intention of this chapter is not to give a perfect weather forecast, but to bring all the detailed information previously described about emerging trends into a bigger picture.
