Abstract
There are many old platforms worldwide and there are major rehabilitation projects running at these platforms to extend their lifetimes and to guarantee their safe operation. For existing mature structures special analysis is required, so as per recent researches, the pushover analysis approach with the reserve strength ratio limitation is discussed in this chapter. To understand platform behavior and reliability, the year of design is crucial and is also discussed in this chapter. Platform decommissioning has special requirements and precautions which are presented. An overview of the methods of repair and strengthening of platforms are also presented in the chapter. Methods of subsea inspection are also outlined.
