Abstract
This paper deals with the torsion problem of an elastic solid with a rigid circular cylindrical or disk like inclusion. A method of solution is presented for the problem by applying the new fundamental solutions for axisymmetric torsion problems of elasticity. Influences of the length of inclusion on stress distributions around the inclusion and stress singularities at the edge of the interface are investigated by numerical caluculations.
