Abstract
The Wisconsin Drug Utilization Review (DUR) Board reviewed stimulants given children 14 years and younger. The goals were to identify: 1) children receiving daily dosages greater than 125 percent of published recommended maximum daily dosages; 2) prescribing practices among various prescribers by credentials; 3) prescribers’ strategies for dosing stimulants; and 4) potential of altering prescribing practices by intervening with mailings to prescribers.
