Abstract
Purpose of the study: This research paper explores how 5G-enabled contactless services are revolutionizing guest experiences in the hospitality industry, focusing on intelligent check-in and check-out processes and personalized guest services. Methodology: The study employs a purely qualitative approach from industry reports, and qualitative insights from hotels implementing 5G-enabled contactless services. The study focuses on the technological infrastructure needed, implementation challenges, and the benefits both guests and hotel operators enjoy. Main Findings: The main findings are that 5G technology improves the Efficiency and the ease of check-in and check-out processes. It can be done through mobile applications and facial recognition that hotel guests can use to remove waiting time on queue systems that cannot accommodate physical presence. Five, 5G enables real-time data processing so that services in alignment with guest needs can be delivered more effectively, adjusted control of room setup, suggestions, and further virtual concierge demand, bringing stronger satisfaction and loyalty to guests. Practical Applications: Contactless 5G technologies require easy investment in infrastructural development and staff training. Hotels should install correct cyber security to protect the guest's information. However, despite the above-discussed challenges, 5G networks in hotels have long-term benefits related to competency in operations, guest experience, and competency in the marketplace. Novelty/Originality of the study: This paper elaborates on the transformation that exists through the 5G technology in the hospitality industry. It addresses concerns that the guests in the hotel face through various applications. It also delves deep into providing hands-on insights for hotels, which can enable them to use 5G technologies and, therefore, contribute to the more excellent discourse on digital transformation within hospitality services.
