Abstract

We measured the magnetic susceptibility and de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillation in UGa3 and UTGa5 (T: Fe, Ni and Pt). The susceptibility in UGa3 and UTGa5 is almost temperature-independent. It does not follow the Curie-Weiss law in the paramagnetic region, being dominated by a Pauli-like contribution, although UGa3 and UTGa5 (T: Ni and Pt) order antiferro-magnetically. The electronic state in UTGa5 is unique, indicating quasi-two dimensionality. Nearly cylindrical Fermi surfaces are formed by itinerant-5f electrons.
