Abstract

The aim of this presentation to bring out the organization of a out-of-hospital emergency care in the Czech republic with concentration on out-of-hospital emergency care in the region of South Moravia. Out-of-hospital emergency care is different in Europe in comparison with the U.S.A. Czech Republic as a Central Europe state does not practice a paramedic system as in the U. S. A., but medical doctor arrives to the patient. Czech legislative determinate arrive of medical teams at patients to 15 minutes. In accordance with this Czech legislation there were established stations of EMS (Emergency Medical Service) teams. Authors are employees of the EMS of South Moravia. This region is 7 196,5 km2 area [1/2 Havay island‘s] with population of 1.130.000 [Havay island’s]. There are 600 employees in 23 EMS stations with 41 EMS teams per days. EMS crews are organized as an Emergency Medical Team [EMT], Emergency Rescuer Team [ERT] and Helicopter Emergency Medical Team [HEMT].
