Abstract
This Newsletter was 16 pages in length and it contained a message from the Chairman (Heinz Schlicke) of the Administrative Committee (AdCom) of the EMC Group on the front page. I am repeating parts of his message below because it was written when the USA was in a recession, many engineers were unemployed, and he is trying to give them a “pep-talk.”
