Abstract

Studies show that the vast majority of children with ASD have ADHD, and children with both ADHD-Combined (ADHD-C) and ASD have high rates of oppositional, aggressive, and irritable behavior. Despite the similarity of symptoms that are the target of common treatment, the levels of impairment and prescribing practices may differ between the groups, although this has not been examined systematically in children with ADHD-C, ADHD-Inattentive (ADHD-I), and ASD.
