Abstract

PrefaceThe 4th Euro-Med Conference for Materials and Renewable Energies (EMCMRE-3) was held in Marrakech-Morocco Mai 8-11 2016. This conference is the 4th of a series that aims to strengthen relationships between material scientists from all sides of the Mediterranean Sea. The scientific topics of the EMCMRE conference series are important to countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea with particular attention to novel problems using state of the art experimental techniques as well as advanced theoretical and computational approaches for materials science. This conference in the series is dedicated to the three main aspects of Renewable Energies, namely storing energy, spectroscopies for advanced materials and energy conversion, solar and biofuels, theory and modeling as well as novel materials. The topics of the EMCMRE conference series encompasses the branches of physics, chemistry and computer science that directly impact Renewable Energies. The targeted audience includes Professors, Researchers and Engineers from Universities, Engineering Schools and Research Institutes. The participation of PhD and Masters Students from both sides of the Mediterranean Sea is strongly encouraged and supported with travel grants.
