Abstract

The kinetics of thermosetting of ED-6, ED-16 and E-41 were studied in the presence of m-phenylenediamine under adiabatic conditions. This process was found to be described by a kinetic scheme in which the primary and secondary amine reactions with a complex, formed as a result of the secondary reactions of alcohols with the epoxy groups, is considered up to large conversions. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of these reactions, and their total heat, have been determined.
