Abstract

The analysis of NMR data obtained from studies of ion binding to macromolecules is discussed, regarding temperature as well as metal ion dependences. A calculation scheme which is based on total bandshape analysis and does not rely on the Swift-Connick approximation is presented, as well as its application to the study of 43Ca 4+ ion binding to a few calcium binding proteins with respect to the effects of varying temperature and metal ion concentration.
