Abstract

In recent years, urban areas have been experiencing a rise in the regional atmospheric temperature because of heat island phenomenon, which increases the summer heat. One of the causes of that is an exhaust heat from air-conditioners. In this paper, we analyze dynamic characteristics of a split type air-conditioner's operation taking into consideration thermal loads to be able to get closer to the real operation. Also, we survey the deterioration in the performance of these air-conditioners and the increase of exhaust heat from them ascribable to the temperature rise caused by the heat island phenomenon. As a result, dynamic characteristics of a split type air-conditioner's operations are grasped by controlling compressor's frequency In addition, COP and amount of exhaust heat in practice operation are simulated to examine influences of indoor setting temperature and air flow rate of outdoor unit.
